Original Photograph

I took this photo about 12 months ago when I was living in Kitzbuhel in the Austrian Alps. I've always liked it because it has a nice balance between natural and unnatural elements through the the vastness that is the Alps but it also shows the man made gondola in the front of the image.

Great Architecture Image - Fallingwater

This is an image of the well known house, Fallingwater, built for the Kaufmann Family in 1937. Frank Lloyd Wright was the architect and through this and various other notable works has become one of the most accomplished and well known architects of the modern era. Originally it was built as a summer house for the Kaufmann Family and is located in Pennsylvania. I believe this is an image of great architecture not only because it has an amazing visual impact of being able to suit it's surrounding and its bold vertical and horizontal lines but also because this building was built in 1937 and would have proved quite a feat to be able to accomplish this today let alone 75 years ago. It is now property of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and is an international landmark.

Best Piece of Creative Work

This is a dining table that I made as my final project for HSC Woodwork. The table top is a Queensland Maple slab cut from a tree that was probably about 80+ years old. The table frame and bench seats are all made of recycled Oregon that came from a building site. The old Oregon looked quite old and rubbished when I got it but I was able to cut and thickness it to the pieces I wanted and it came out pretty nice. The table is in my house and is a great addition to our home.
