Here are some various images of the model.

Custom Textures

Here is the word list for the Custom Textures work. They have also been categorised into Above, Below and Between with the use of A,B or C. Following the word lists are all the custom textures.

These are the two 2D sections that i chose to develop in SketchUp. Images of both 3D models are shown but the model I chose to further develop and detail was inspired from the top section. it shows the small box or cube and as it "evolves" it splits into two different boxes, it also gives the impression to have a crease as the Datum from which the evolve is pivoted from.

Below are two images of a early 3D model of both the Sections.

2D Sections

These are the 2D Sections I drew using the words, Futuristic Evolving Efficient for Stelarc and Mirrored Crease and Crawling for Ai WeiWei. The arworks that these words are describing are at the start of this blog.

Stelarc Studio

this image shows Stelarc's studio and people in it as well as one of his art works. The image shows the proportions of the room.

Ai WeiWei Studio

this image shows the scale of the people and the artworks in Ai WeiWei's Studio.

This is another 3D view of the Datum project again showing the 2 galleries and the studio for Stelarc, the Stelarc Stairs are also visible in this view.

A 3D view of the progress of the Gallery/Studio building the front 2 galleries, the first two "cubes" and the third, can be seen as well as the gallery for Stelarc.

Stelarc Stairs

These stairs for the artist, Stelarc, to access his gallery are designed to symbolize him and his works by looking quite futuristic and advanced in quite the way his artworks are also very futuristic and push the boundaries of what is considered possible. The stars are cantilevered around a center column and wrap from the studio up to his gallery.

Ai WeiWei Stairs

Ai WeiWei is an artist who seems to be quite rebellious towards various institutes and these stairs symbolise that by constantly changing in shape and making the user double think every step.
